In Catching Fire the story left off that the Hunger Games Quarter Quell didnt finish. Katniss didnt die and neither did Peeta. District 12 was destroyed by the capitol and district 13 was discovered to still be existing. Even though district 12 was destroyed Katniss's family, Peeta's family, and Gale's family are still alive and safe. Plutarch Heavensbee the head gamemaker was in an undercover association that was planning a big uprising and now they are going to do it and all the districts are going to rebel against the capitol. Also Peeta has been held captive by President Snow and the Capitol.
Now Katniss is still in the hovercraft but she is now conscious and rejoins Finnick, Gale, and Plutarch in their conversation. They start planning how they are going to rescue Peeta and how and where to reunite all of the people of Panem. After they talk about that they head to district 13 where Katniss's, Gale's, and Peeta's family have been relocated since district 12 was destroyed by the capitol.
Once Katniss arrives she runs and hugs Prim and her mother she cries and asks them what has happened, both her mother and Prim dont tell them much and then is time to leave to the other districts to tell all the people to reunite at district 13. When Katniss arrives at district 11 she remem bers how many people she saw in 13 that were supposed to be dead but werent. District 11 is very easy to convince and starts heading to 13 since Katniss was friend from Rue a girl who faught with her and was called by the carreer tributes in the previous Hunger Games. District 10 was next and they were convinced. District 9 was medium to try to convince them to go. Then was district 8 which was the easiest since they had already been planning the rebellion with district 13 since a long time ago. Then Katniss Gale and Plutarch went to visit districts 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2. When they go to district 1 it was really hard to convince them. They have always been closer to the capitol and were going to join forces with them. District 1 is the wealthy district and were most of the carreer tributes come from. Katniss, Gale and Plutarch were almost killed by the peoples of district one and they thought that all hape was lost. They were all ready to die, until Katniss reminded them what the Capitol has done to the kids of district 1 then everybody started saying that killing their kids wasnt fair. Then Katniss reminded them especially to what they did to Cato and Glimmer who were turned into genetically mutated dogs to hunt Peeta and Katniss down. Then the peopl of district 1 all did a big scream and started chanting a song and then they left to rejoin everyone in district 13.
After they saw everyone leave to district 13 she and Gale and Plutarch headed off to district 13. Once they got there they got a microphone and started speaking to the public of all of Panem but suddenly when they were disscussing the plan a big TV that was on back of them turned on and President Snow was on it he said if the rebellion stopped he would free Peeta and would stop the Hunger Games. Neither did Katniss or everybody else believe him, but Katniss said she would stop it and then the TV turned off. After it did, Katniss told everyone she had a plan. After she said that Plutarch, Gale and her left with 2 other people. They drove off to the capitol in a hovercraft.
When they arrived they all went out and went to President Snow's mansion except for the 2 other people who stayed there in the hovercraft. Katniss, Gale, and Plutarch went in armed. They went in and talked to President Snow about Peeta and the rebellion when they agreed on something they were about to shake hands when Katniss said "psych" and then Plutarch took out 2 guns and killed the 2 guards that were protecting President Snow and then Gale got Snow and slept him with chloroform and then them 3 went running upstairs were the hovercraft was ready to take them. They left but a whole army of Peacemakers shot upwards were they were but then stopped when they realized President Snow was on the hovercraft. They arrived at district 13 with Snow still asleep. We knew now that the capitol and all of the Peacekeepers were coming to start a war. Then when Katniss realized that she She screamed "let the rebellion begin" the the rebillion began.
All of the people began to attack the peacekeepers and then they attack the rebellion. The organizers of the rebellion which are also the leaders went to the safe place under ground in 13 with other organizers. Plutarch Heavensbee, Gale and Katniss were hidden their with their families until the war ended. The war was so brutal they stepped on red earth when they came out and saw alot of bodies without life in the floor. Almost half of the population of Panem is dead now but the victory was for all the people who wanted Justice and to end the cruel Hunger Games.
The war was over but President Snow was still alive Gale, Plutarch and Katniss interregated him to ask him wer Peeta was. At last the crew went to pick up Peeta and free him, and he had been tortured. But they didnt waste time they got to district 13 and told everyone to reunite at district 12. When everybody did Katniss hung President Snow on the top of the tallest building of the capitol and freedom was theirs.
Now that Katniss realized she didnt have to pretend to love Peeta anymore she realized she actually liked him then they married and had kids. AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Catching Fire (book project 3)
My name is Katniss Everdeen and i have just survived the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is games that are so bloody and so brutal. These games are played every year here in the country of Panem which is now the future ruins of what was once known as North America. Every district has to recruit to tributes to the capitol to play the games. The tributes each have to be one boy and one girl for each district. In the games you have to kill everybody and survive yourself. In the games there can only be one victor. In my case it is not like that, in my case there is two survivers me and my partner Peeta Mellark from district 12 as well as me. We survived the games when i decided to defy the capitol by holding out some poisonoss berries and to commit suicid and make Peeta commit suicide too so there wont be any victors for the 74th annual Hunger Games. Then the capitol decided to spare both of our lives to live. Another reason why we survived is that before the games started we each were interviewed, all 24 of us and Peeta said he loved me in front of the whole country of Panem. The interviews and the games are mandatory to watch when they are being televised. Peeta and i survived by being the 2 star-crossed lovers.
Now I am here in the Victor's Village of my district where i have a house next to Peeta. I miss my home in the Seam where i was closer to the woods so i can go hunting with Gale even though it is extremely illegal . Here in the Victor's Village it is really clean and i live with my sister Prim and my mom with Peeta and Haymitch our mentor as neighbors. Haymitch our mentor is a real drunk, he is addicted to drinking alcohol.
Since we are the victors we are supposed to take the Victor's Tour. Effie Trinket comes in with her wierd hair. She is always changing her hair color and style sometimes i think she is crazy but she is not. "It is time to go" she says. Effie is always tryin to get everywhere on time. Effie thinks she can put everything on a schedule and she never has time to do anything other than what she is scheduled to do. Before we leave our prep teams have to come and get us ready to leave for the tour. Ive been letting my hair grow so i have been getting really hairy. Octavia ,Flavius and Cinna are always telling me to shave but i never listen. I feel comfortable letting my hair grow it makes me feel myself. Cinna, Octavia, and Flavius walk in and the first thing i hear is "Katniss you are so hairy" Octavia screams, Shut up i say in my mind but instead of saying that out loud I just blush and turn as red as an apple. When i am ready the prep team leaves except for Cinna who is gathering all of his materials to do my make up. I ask him if there are any rumors from the capitol and then he stays silent. He takes out a pin of a mockingjay and shows it to me so i can observe it.I can not believe my mockingjay bird pin is now fashion in the capitol.
We leave district 12 for the tour girst sop is 1, then 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,11, then the capitol at last. When we get there i am tired becuse i have been traveling for 11 days and all i want to do is sleep and rest. Unfortunately i can not do that because the minute i get to the room she walks in and tells me we have to shower and get ready for a feast we are having with important people of the capitol and also we are going to meet the gamemakers and the new head gamemaker which is not Seneca Crane who was murdered for letting me an Peeta survive the Hunger Games. I am also excited to go to the feast though because im going to get to taste the good food and delicious desserts from here in the capitol.
It is time we go to the feast. When we arrive they greet us and then they shows to our table wich is the best since we are the guests of honors of this feast. After i eat im so full i can burst into a million pieces. Then a man who looks young comes up to me and asks me if i want to dance. I dont reject him instead i accept not thinking if Peeta would get jealous because i am dancing with him. In the middle of the song we are dancing to he tells me his name is Plutarch Heavensbee the head gamemaker for the Quarter Quell. Then he shows me his watch which is golden and must be worth a fortune and in the middle of the watch i can see a Mockingjay like the one from my pin and i realize something, that my pin must be a symbol for something. The feast is almost over and the clock strikes midnight 12 o clock then Plutarch has to leave and before he does he kisses my fore head and tells me "it starts at 12 midnight". After the feast at President Snow's mansion i go back to my hotel to sleep.
It is morning and we have to leave back to District 12 where a big gigantic would be thrown for us and for the people. There would be free food for everyone, games, and it will be so much fun. The big feast is dedicated to us. I start to wonder how fat i will get since i have been eating so much these days. After the feast is over i go back to my house in the Victor's Village.
Time has passed so far i have been living normal until today that President Snow came to my house to warn me that he didnt like it that defied him in the hunger games. Here in district 12 we have a new head peaceckeeper- Thread. Thread is very strict and he turned on the electric fence surrounding the woods so nobody would get in. Especially Gale and I. Me and Gale hunt in the woods even though it is illegal to, we already have been in trouble once and next time we get caught we were going to have serious consequenses. We havent been hunting lately though and i think Gale has and i think he got caught. I was walking around in the central square of district 12 i saw Gale getting whipped by Thread. I was crying since i dont love Peeta i love Gale and so i went in for him and i took a whip in the face but then Thread stopped, warned me and left. After that Darius, Peeta and some other miners went to take him to my mother's house where she cured him.I gave Gale kiss and cried.
I have decided to plan an uprising and I have also heard of rumored uprisings in district 8. Today in the middle of winter i decided to go hunting in the woods there i saw 2 girls dressed in peacekeeper clothes then i realized they were from 8. I talked to them and then they showed me a bread that had my mockingjay and they told me it was their symbol for rebellion and they had an attempt of an uprising but they were stopped, but now they are planning a big uprising. When i came back hame i was worried and excited but the electric fences were turned on so i got on a tall tree and jumped out of the woods and fractured my foot. I had to lie to my mother and then today when i got home i saw everybody was gathered around the TV for the Quarter Quell rules. The rules were that the previous victors only 2 from each didtrict would fight. I started to cry and broke a window because i know is going to be me and Peeta or maybe Haymitch again back in the games.The day of the reaping has come im going to the games and then Peeta volunteers to go with me. They dont let us say our goodbyes instead we leave without nobody knowing.
We arrive at the capitol where we would train. Haymitch is our mentor once ago his advice to us is to make friends.
We have made allies who are Wiress, Beetee, Johanna and Finnick. They are other tributes. On the day of our big televised interviews Peeta says im having a baby and that makes me wonder why he said that and that is to protect me but my goal is to protect him. Then when it is my turn i continue the lie and my beautiful dress transforms into the best dress ever with the shape of a burned mockingjay, then i talk about the wedding i was supposed to have with Peeta.
The next day we are shipped off to the arena to kill each other, but before i go out in the capsule that would take me into the arena i say probably my last words to Cinna. Im trapped in the capsule and i see Cinna getting beat until he is unconscious by two Peacekeepers, istart to cry and i feel like for revenge. In the starting battle of the games 8 day but none of our allies.
In the next few days only Wiress has died and it was very sad because i liked her and she was very helpful since she figured out the arena was Plutarch Heavensbee watch. Every hour there is a new hazard and we have discovered about half the hazards. Our most helpful one is the lightning bolt every 12 hours which strikes a tree. Beetee recieved a wire from a sponsor which he is using now to make the biggest trap. After we are done setting it up we wait for the lightning to strike but instead there is an attack and i am knocked out unconscious.
I wake up and i am with Gale and Finnick and Plutarch and they tell me that they have been planning a big uprising against the capitol. If you like suspense, romance and a action/adventure you should read Catching Fire. Catching Fire is a great book for teenagers but i think you would like it too. This book is written by Suzzane Collins. This is an author that has written the Hunger Games trilogy. Catching Fire is the second book of this trilogy and The Hunger games is the first, last but not least Mockingjay is the last book of the trilogy. In my opinion this is one of my favorite books and the trilogy is my favorite. If your going to read this book I recommend reading The Hunger Games first and after Mockingjay. This book is really good and well written. It is about a girl named Katniss who lives in the future ruins of North America she lives in a country called Panem. Panem is divided in to 12 districts (not including district 13 which was "destroyed" by the capitol for trying to do an uprising) apart from the 12 districts is a capitol where the wealthy people live and so does the president. The president is President Snow he is an unjust ruler he gives alot to the wealthy and a little to the poor. Every year he recruits 1boy and 1girl from each district to fight to the death in the annual hunger games only 1/24 tributes can survive the brutal battle. Fortunately, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark both survived that by pretending they loved each other and by saying and holding out poisouness berries to defy the capitol. Now the 2 star crossed lovers have a different problem and that is the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell is the hunger games but with some special rules. Peeta's and Katniss's tutor, Haymitch won the quarter quell before this one where there was 2 times as more tributes than regular. A quarter quell only happens every 25th anniversary of Panem and this time is the 75th anniversary. This book is very suspenseful because you never know what's going to happen next. During The Hunger Games and Catching Fire the auyhor makes you believe that district 13 doesnt exist anymore and that it got destroyed by the capitol, but at the end of Catching Fire you realize that district 13 is still existant and that they are planning a big uprising.

Suzanne Collins (book project 3)
Suzanne Collins
Suzanne Collins is an author. She was born in 1964 in Connecticut. Suzanne's career started in 1991 as a writer for television shows. She worked for Nickelodeon writing stuff for shows that were going to come out. She also wrote her book Clifford's Puppy Days. Her first nomination was a Writer's Guild of America for Santa Baby in animation.
Suzanne was inspired to write books herself. Suzanne writes in different genres which are fantasy, sci-fi, children, young adult, suspense, and action. Her inspiration for her first New York Times Bestselling series The Underland Chronicles comes from Alice in Wonderland. Between 2003-2007 she wrote 5 books which were all part of The Underland Chronicles. During that time she also wrote a rhyming book called When Charlie McButton Lost Power.
In 2008 she released the first book of trilogy The Hunger Games. Her inspiration for writing that book was from her dad's work in the Air Force also from the Greek myth Theseus and The Minotaur. In 2009 she released Catching Fire the second book of the trilogy. Last but not least she release Mockingay which is the final book of the trilogy. Since Suzanne's Hunger Games sold over 1.5 million copies in North America alone she was named as one of TIMES 100 most influential people of 2010.
Right now Suzanne is one of the most influntial authors of her time. She now lives in connecticut. She lives with 2 children and her husband.
